MMSD Schools who were awarded the Fittest Schools from the Madison Bike + Run!

More than 400 kids kicked off summer in high gear at the annual Madison Bike + Run on Saturday, June 14, at Warner Park. With sunny skies and lots of community spirit, families cheered on students racing through the park paths and neighborhood streets in this accessible, family-friendly multi-sport event.
Gompers Elementary School, proudly earning the title of Fittest School! Mendota Elementary and Midvale Elementary students also had impressive showings, finishing third and fourth, respectively. Thanks to enthusiastic participation from all schools, the event raised over $12,000 to support Madison area schools.
Courses were available for a variety of skill levels, with Long, Medium and Short routes keeping students of all ages moving. Awards ceremonies celebrated both individual and school-wide achievements throughout the morning.
What a way to start the summer!
